H215O is weakly radioactively labeled water. H215O is the best tracer for studying brain perfusion. Typically this examination is performed before surgical revascularization in the brain.

The following indication is reimbursed by the health insurance:
H215O-PET in other diseases (e.g. critical stenosis of the neck vessels, stroke) is unfortunately not reimbursed by the health insurance. For this indication it is necessary to obtain a cost approval from the referring physician in advance, or the resulting costs must be partially covered by the patient.
