Aesthetic dermatology and laser medicine

Aesthetically disturbing skin changes can be professionally reduced or removed by dermatologists. At the same time, we are able to detect dangerous changes (skin tumors) and initiate any necessary treatment. We will also inform you about the effects and side effects of cosmetic aesthetic treatments.

Services

In laser medicine and aesthetic dermatology, the focus is on the gentle and highly effective treatment of cosmetically disturbing but medically benign skin changes. As a university clinic, we offer a wide range of treatment methods that are based on the latest scientific findings and are individually adapted to the skin biology of our patients. In our consultation hours, we offer you a wide range of modern and scientifically based treatment methods for various aesthetically disturbing changes to the skin.

Laser therapy for age and sun spots

We use high-precision laser systems to treat pigment spots caused by ageing or UV exposure. The high-energy light effect breaks down excess pigmentation in a targeted manner, so that after a few weeks the skin appears more even and future pigmentation build-up can be reduced.

Laser therapy of blood vessels (spider veins, hemangiomas, telangiectasia, port-wine stains)

Fine veins and vascular changes can be selectively closed with modern vascular lasers, while the surrounding skin area is spared. The treatment is usually performed on an outpatient basis and is painless – after a short recovery period, the skin can be cared for again without any restrictions. The result: visible improvement after just a short time.

Hair removal with flash lamp device or laser

Whether face, legs or bikini line – we use intensive pulsed light systems or diode lasers to remove unwanted hair in a targeted manner. Hair growth is noticeably reduced over several sessions. Particularly suitable for sensitive skin areas, as special cooling and modern technology make the treatment comfortable and safe.

Scar corrections on the face and body

Scars – whether caused by acne, injuries or operations – can be visibly reduced using a combination of procedures. The aim is to smooth the relief of the skin and harmonize the appearance of scars so that the skin looks more even again.

Laser skin resurfacing (removal of the upper layers of the skin) for wrinkles and sun-damaged skin

With laser skin resurfacing, the top layer of skin is removed in a controlled manner to stimulate the production of fresh collagen and significantly improve the structure and color of the skin. Particularly effective for fine to medium-deep wrinkles and sun-induced skin damage such as rough texture or irregular pigmentation.

Chemical peeling / fruit acid peeling for blemished skin, wrinkles and pigmentation disorders

A controlled chemical peel removes dead skin cells and stimulates skin regeneration – ideal for blemishes or uneven pigmentation. Depending on the depth of the peel, the complexion can be refined and the skin texture significantly smoothed. After just a few days, you will notice a cleansed complexion with visibly improved skin quality in the long term.

Removal of harmless, aesthetically disturbing new skin formations (age warts, skin tags)

Skin tags such as age-related warts or small benign skin protrusions can be easily removed – whether by laser, surgery or cryotherapy. The procedures are performed on an outpatient basis, are generally painless and involve minimal downtime.

Injection of botulinum toxin A for the treatment of expression lines

Mimic or dynamic wrinkles such as forehead wrinkles or crow’s feet can be smoothed by targeted injections of botulinum toxin A. The active ingredient relaxes muscle activity, making the skin appear calmer without losing your natural facial expressions. Ideal for preventing and softening lines, for a relaxed radiance.

Injection of filling materials (fillers) for wrinkles and volume loss

We use modern filling materials to compensate for volume loss, e.g. in the cheeks, deep nasolabial folds or sunken areas of the face. The injected substances (e.g. hyaluronic acid-based) give the face new contours, ensure smooth transitions and harmonious proportions. Immediately visible effect, with natural results and individually customizable corrections.

Notes on the assumption of costs

The treatments offered in our consultation hours are generally used to correct aesthetically disturbing skin changes that are not medically pathological. These are therefore self-pay services that are not generally covered by compulsory health insurance.

Exceptions include the treatment of port-wine stains, scars after burns, excessive facial hair growth in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or dirty tattoos after accidents. In this case, you can ask your health or accident insurance company to cover the costs.

Before each treatment, you will receive a transparent cost breakdown and detailed medical advice on the benefits, limitations and alternatives of the planned therapy
