These remain on the back for two days. The patches are removed on the third day and evaluated on this and the fourth day. In principle, patients can go about their normal daily lives during the test, but the test patches should not get wet. Always up to date
Additives (e.g. preservatives) in care products and cosmetics can change constantly in accordance with EU directives. The epicutaneous test laboratory at the USZ endeavors to keep the test series up to date in accordance with the recommendations of the German Society for Contact Allergy (DGK). In addition, we also have detailed clarification series regarding prosthetic materials or dyes (e.g. for tattoo reactions).
