Great solidarity; close cooperation with all authorities; comprehensive support for victims and relatives is ensured.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who have offered or already provided their support in connection with the events in Crans-Montana. The great solidarity, the many messages and references to appeals for help as well as the commitment to identifying or locating affected persons are very touching.
Our experienced teams are on duty around the clock, and we work closely and centrally coordinated with all institutions and authorities. Comprehensive and professional support for victims and their families is guaranteed. Thanks to the great commitment of all those involved, the USZ also has sufficient staff and equipment to guarantee supplies.
We receive a lot of messages with offers of support. We would like to thank you all for your willingness to help and your trust, and ask for your understanding if we are unable to respond to all individual inquiries. Please consult the notices of the competent authorities for your questions and concerns or contact them directly.
In the meantime, further patients have been transferred to other highly specialized clinics for burn patients. Like the USZ, these clinics have the specialist knowledge and infrastructure to treat severely injured patients professionally and over the long term. Six patients remain at the USZ for treatment.
Our thoughts are with those affected, especially the families and loved ones who have lost loved ones in this fire. We wish you much strength, comfort and solidarity during this difficult time.
All patients who were seriously injured as a result of the fire in the bar in Crans-Montana and brought to the USZ have been able to receive medical treatment since yesterday morning thanks to the great and continuous efforts and good cooperation of all employees, authorities and helpers.
The USZ is in close contact with the relatives of the victims. There are currently 13 patients undergoing treatment at the USZ, and further transfers to other hospitals are currently being examined so that the specialized teams can focus on the long-term and difficult care of the most seriously injured patients.
“We are shaken by the events. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families. Our teams are working tirelessly. Their solidarity and mutual support are unique in this extraordinary situation. We would like to thank all our employees and the other hospitals for their cooperation and wish everyone lots of strength and energy in these challenging times,” says Monika Jänicke, CEO and Chairwoman of the Hospital Management of the USZ.
