Two studies conducted by the University Hospital of Zurich, the University of Zurich, and Swissmedic analyze the evaluation of cancer drugs.
In two studies, researchers at the USZ, in collaboration with Swissmedic and the University of Zurich, examined how effective new cancer drugs are and how sound the scientific basis is for their approval. The results of the two studies provide important insights for the evaluation and approval of new cancer drugs and innovative therapies.
The studies also demonstrated the added value of structured data analysis between regulatory authorities and clinical partner institutions. Swissmedic, the USZ, and UZH therefore plan to continue their collaboration and further expand their shared database in a targeted manner so that they can address regulatory and scientific questions with even greater precision and on a more solid foundation.
