Stop smoking advice (consultation)
The Stop Smoking Advice Service in the Pneumology Department is a joint project of the USZ and LUNGE ZÜRICH.
The consultation is carried out by a consultant from Lunge Zurich in combination with a pulmonologist from the USZ.
It’s great that you are considering quitting smoking. This is the first step towards a smoke-free life. We are happy to support you on this path.
What can you expect?
- A personalized action plan to prepare, implement and maintain your smoking cessation.
- Support to strengthen your motivation.
- Information on possible withdrawal symptoms.
- Advice on the use of nicotine replacement products.
- Advice on and prescription of prescription medication for
- Support to stop smoking (as required).
- Information on health and medical issues relating to smoking and quitting smoking.
Number and duration of consultations
The offer includes six face-to-face and two telephone consultations with a stop-smoking advisor and a doctor.
Costs
The costs of the consultation are billed directly to the health insurance company.
