Institute of Clinical Chemistry
The staff at the Institute of Clinical Chemistry apply chemical, physical and biological analysis methods, mostly to body fluids such as blood and urine, to assist in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Our scientific work aims to gain a better understanding of the molecular basis of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases and to develop new diagnostic tests and methods. In addition, the Institute of Clinical Chemistry is involved in the training of students of medicine, natural sciences and biomedical analysis as well as in the further training of laboratory managers.
