Anemia treatment

Anemia is one of the most common hematological problems.

Their causes are very variable and complex. In addition to the lack of elementary “building materials” such as iron, folic acid or vitamin B 12, it can occur in connection with inflammation, chronic diseases or tumor diseases. There are also a large number of so-called “hereditary” (inherited) diseases of the red blood pigment hemoglobin, such as thalassemia and sickle cell anemia, or other disorders that lead to a shortened survival of red blood cells (erythrocytes).

Our clinic has a broad and long-established range of consultation hours for anaemia clarification and therapy as well as special laboratories to further characterize the corresponding clinical pictures. We care for a large number of patients with various causes of anemia. The immunohaematology laboratory ensures rapid transfusion medical clarification, which often facilitates the treatment of difficult transfusion indications.
