Triage, clarification and registration for spinal disorders

The Spine Center is a central interface between the three core clinics of rheumatology, trauma surgery and neurosurgery. Patients are assigned to one of these clinics depending on their clinical picture.

This primarily involves differentiating between structural, inflammatory, functional-mechanical and somatoform clinical pictures. Unclear or complex cases are discussed together and, if necessary, jointly assessed during the initial consultation.

During the consultation, a decision is made as to whether the necessary clarification steps should be carried out on an outpatient basis or as part of a hospitalization.

For patients

In addition to being referred by the family doctor treating you, it is also possible for you as a patient to register for an initial appointment yourself. Cooperation with your family doctor is a central element of our treatment.
