Zurich Microsurgery Course 2024

This course by Dr. Giuseppe Esposito is suitable for surgeons working with microsurgical techniques, microsutures and microanastomoses. Participants will be able to practice basic microsurgical techniques such as dissection of arteries and veins using a placenta model.

8.45 am Microdissection, microsuturing and microanastomosis techniques
9.15 am Vessels microdissection (1 to 4 mm)
10.00 am 3 cm arteriotomy and microsuturing with 9-0 (interrupted microsutures) with symmetry analysis
11.00 am 3 cm arteriotomy and microsuturing with 10-0 (interrupted microsutures) with symmetry analysis
11.45 am 3 cm arteriotomy and microsuturing with 10-0 (running microsutures)
12.30 pm Break / Lunch
1.30 pm End-to-end microanastomosis complete technique with 9-0 (vessel dissection, microsuturing with analysis of leakage, symmetry of microsutures; fluorescein analysis)
3.30 pm End-to-end microanastomosis complete technique with 10-0 (vessel dissection, microsuturing with analysis of leakage, symmetry of microsutures; fluorescein analysis)
5.00 pm Donor vessel preparation for end-to-side (fish mouth technique) and side-to-side
