Diagnostic and Treatment Services
Our Neuroendocrine Tumor Center is part of the Comprehensive Cancer Center Zurich (CCCZ) and has been certified as a Center of Excellence by the leading European professional society for neuroendocrine tumors (European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society, ENETS) since 2013. Our quality standards are reviewed on a regular basis. Thanks to our scientific work, we are always up to date and quickly put medical advances into practice. We work closely with referring physicians and hospitals in the region and are happy to provide co-evaluations and second opinions through our ENETS Tumor Board.
Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) and adrenal tumors are rare conditions whose diagnosis and treatment require a highly specialized team with extensive experience. We offer all modern diagnostic and treatment methods for these specific conditions and know how to proceed even in difficult situations. Our aim is to provide all those affected with the best possible diagnosis and treatment.
A cancer diagnosis changes many aspects of a person’s life. In addition to the actual symptoms of the illness, there are other challenges that can affect quality of life and well-being. Even after your treatment, our experts from the organ centers, nursing, and supportive services will be available to you during our regular follow-up appointments. Follow-up exams are important for monitoring the cancer and, if necessary, detecting a recurrence early. In addition, this allows us to address long-term complications resulting from the disease or treatment, as well as their physical, psychosocial, and emotional health. We work with your specialist and primary care physician to schedule follow-up appointments and, if necessary, arrange for support from Spitex or an oncology rehabilitation program.
Medical inquiries can be directed to our specialists at the organ centers, nursing staff, and supportive counseling services. Cantonal and regional cancer leagues also offer a wide range of counseling and support services free of charge.
If you would like an appointment in our special consultation, please ask your family doctor or specialist for a referral. If you would like a second opinion, please use our second opinion form as an alternative.
Referring physicians are welcome to register their patients for a co-assessment and tumor board discussion using this form or directly by e-mail. If desired, online participation in the tumor board is also possible.
