Second opinion for cancer – get it now

When a cancer diagnosis is made, a second medical opinion is an important decision-making tool. Is the recommended treatment really the right one? Are you unsure whether medication or surgery is necessary or advisable? The Comprehensive Cancer Center Zurich (CCCZ) supports you with a second opinion on treatment.

Would you like a second opinion?

A qualified second opinion in cancer is useful and helpful for many diagnoses. Even if you are not a patient at the University Hospital Zurich (USZ): Our consultation offers you not only the opinion of a single specialist, but also includes the recommendation of a team of specialists and oncology experts from numerous disciplines, as needed.

A cancer second opinion is an independent, second opinion of a medical finding by a medical specialist. This additional assessment may be done for diagnosis or treatment recommendation.

  1. You submit a request to the CCCZ by filling out and submitting the online form with all relevant documents / mandatory fields.
  2. We will contact you within three working days.
  3. An appointment with a specialist at CCCZ will be coordinated.
  4. You will receive a situational analysis of your diagnosis and/or treatment recommendation, as well as a personal consultation and the opportunity to get answers to all your questions.

The costs for a second opinion are usually covered by the health insurance companies for persons with health insurance in Switzerland. To be on the safe side, please clarify the coverage of costs with your health insurance in advance.
