C3Z Precision Oncology Funding Program

CCCZ strives for excellence in cancer research and cancer medicine, tight collaborations between scientists and physicians, and professional education in oncology. Our mission is to provide excellence in cancer medicine and implement innovative research programs towards precision oncology.

The C3Z Precision Oncology Funding Program aims to foster outstanding translational cancer research projects. The proposed research must:

  • Meet the mission of CCCZ as a Comprehensive Cancer Center of Excellence.
  • Encompass innovative translation of scientific findings into clinical practice. Patients must rapidly benefit from new scientific progress.
  • Address a clinical need.
  • Aim to strengthen the research interface at CCCZ connecting the basic research environment with oncological patient care. Preferentially, projects must invest into the building of interdisciplinary infrastructure, workflows and expertise, meeting international cutting-edge profile, as demonstrated by high-impact publication and strong leadership.
  • Combine innovative research, technologies, medical bioinformatics and clinical oncology to develop novel diagnostic and therapeutic concepts towards precision oncology.
  • Built a basis for subsequent additional acquisition of funding.

The C3Z Precision Oncology Funding Program aims to promote exceptional talents in oncology by:

  • Supporting outstanding scientists and clinician scientists to coordinate collaborative translational cancer research projects in laboratories and clinical departments of CCCZ.
  • Integrating fellows into the laboratories, meetings and communications of the Zurich cancer research community.
  • Offering mentoring and career development by CCCZ principal investigators and structured mentoring programs of the UZH, USZ and Medical Faculty Zurich.

We invite you to be part of an innovative, interdisciplinary research team helping to make breakthrough discoveries in basic, translational and clinical cancer research for the treatment of cancer.
