Please note that we can only treat urgent dermatological emergencies here. We cannot offer walk-in consultations in our dermatology outpatient clinic at USZ Airport. Our appointments are only available by prior arrangement in order to guarantee optimal and individual care.
In order to see urgent emergencies as quickly as possible and to make the waiting time as short as possible for you, a triage is carried out by our emergency doctor. Registration by telephone on +41 44 255 31 55. We ask for your understanding that waiting times are unpredictable.

Overnight triage takes place in the main emergency ward of the University Hospital Zurich at Schmelzbergstrasse 8, 8091 Zurich. Registration by telephone on +41 44 255 11 11.

The dermatology emergency ward at the USZ Campus is available. Admission and registration take place at the emergency ward at Schmelzbergstrasse 8, 8091 Zurich. Only emergencies that cannot be treated in a consultation are accepted here.
Overnight: 17:00 – 07:00
Overnight triage takes place in the main emergency ward of the University Hospital Zurich at Schmelzbergstrasse 8, 8091 Zurich. Without prior appointment – for dermatological emergencies.
- Severe skin reactions to medication
- Venereal diseases
- Acute allergies
- Severe relapses of known dermatological diseases
- Infections of the skin
- Wounds (if not treated by surgery)
- Other dermatological emergencies
What do I need to bring to the consultation?
Please always bring your insurance card with you to record your personal details. Please also complete this form and give it to your doctor.
Polyclinic questionnaireThe medical services provided by the Dermatology Emergency Clinic at the University Hospital Zurich are mandatory and are billed directly to all Swiss health insurance companies. If you do not have health insurance in Switzerland, the services provided must be paid for directly. Both cash payment and payment with major credit cards are possible.
Patients with a family doctor or telemedicine model are requested to adhere to the corresponding contractual conditions of their health insurance.
If possible, please bring the following documents with you to your consultation:
- List of your current medication
- Allergy passport (if available)
