The Vertigo Center is a multidisciplinary center that provides comprehensive assessment, treatment and structured care for patients with vertigo and neurological visual disorders.
The center is supported by the Clinic for Neurology, the Clinic for Ear, Nose, Throat and Facial Surgery and the Eye Clinic.
The Vertigo Center combines a network of experienced specialists with state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment infrastructure. Our experts from the various specialist areas have their finger on the pulse of the latest developments in research and will work with you to find the ideal treatment for your vertigo.
As a university center, we are active in vertigo research, as evidenced by numerous ongoing projects, published studies and competitively acquired financial support. Our Vestibulo-Oculomotor Laboratory investigates the neuronal systems that control balance, eye, head and grasping movements. We are particularly interested in the diagnosis and treatment of central and peripheral disorders of the ocular motor and vestibular systems in humans. The laboratory is equipped with unique devices (such as the 3D rotary table or the Hexapod) that allow us to precisely control and measure human movements to study the sensorimotor interactions necessary for us to move in dynamic environments.
