Prof. Aribal’s landmark 2024 prospective study, published in the International Journal of Cancer, evaluated ABUS in over 3,400 women undergoing opportunistic screening. This influential research demonstrated that standalone ABUS detected 12.5% more invasive cancers compared to digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) alone.
