Prof. Bueter completed his surgical training at the University Hospital of Würzburg in Germany and, after obtaining his specialist title, spent two years at Imperial College London with Prof. CW le Roux in Great Britain as a DFG scholarship holder. He has been Head Physician at our clinic since May 1, 2018 and is responsible for bariatric surgery in teaching, research and clinical practice. Since January 2020, he has also been Chief Physician and Head of the Surgery Clinic at Männedorf Hospital as part of the cooperation between Zurich University Hospital and Männedorf Hospital. Prof. Bueter is listed by DAGV as a recognized surgeon according to §§ 5 and 6 ZertO in Adipositas Zentrum Zürich.
