End of March 2021, world’s first digital 6-ring PET/CT scanner, manufactured by GE Healthcare, went live at the Department of Nuclear Medicine of the University Hospital of Zurich.

The scanner ranges among the most sensitive PET scanners worldwide. It allows for a considerable reduction in both radiation dose and examination time, providing highest comfort for patients and truly outstanding image quality. The integrated CT scanner takes advantage of cutting-edge technology, including the use of artificial intelligence for image reconstruction. Both our patients and staff will benefit from the many advantages this PET/CT system offers. We are delighted to use this PET/CT scanner in our daily clinical routine.
