Newborn Research Zurich (NRZ)

Over 30 doctors and scientists at our clinic have set themselves the goal of improving the monitoring, diagnosis and treatment of our patients.

Our patients are already benefiting from numerous advances in neonatal medicine that are saving lives and improving the quality of life of extremely premature babies, for example. Nevertheless, there are diseases for which treatment options are limited despite all the progress made. We want to use scientific projects to test whether a new monitoring or measurement method or a new therapy can help in such cases. In addition to providing medical care at the highest level, the search for new therapies is an important part of clinical research at Newborn Research Zurich. We work in three teams:

  • Randomized experimental studies and systematic reviews / meta-analyses
  • Observational studies and translational research
  • National health services research (SwissNeoNet), quality control and qualitative studies

Our research is of high quality, internationally competitive, focused on relevant evidence gaps, transparent, and open to anyone who wants to get involved. Our research management is lean, transparent, well documented, quality-controlled and utilizes existing synergies.
