Summary & Mission statement

We are focused on biomarker research in thoracic diseases. By integrating morphological and molecular pathology approaches, we aims to identify and validate robust, clinically relevant biomarkers.

Overview

We are interested in advancing precision medicine in thoracic diseases through comprehensive biomarker testing. Our focus is in identifying and validating diagnostic, prognostic, and predictive biomarkers, with ongoing projects centered on antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) biomarkers as well as on the prediction of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) responses in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). With combining classical morphological assessments with advanced molecular techniques, we aim to uncover critical disease mechanisms and improve clinical workflows.
Additionally, we collaborate closely with clinical and translational partners to provide expert pathology knowledge, including specialized expertise in tissue handling and biomarker testing. Through this collaborative approach, we aim to enhance the impact of precision oncology efforts as well as helping recognize pathology as a vital component in advancing personalized cancer care.
