Scanner and equipment
The Department of Neuroradiology conducts clinical and basic research. Our dedicated team of neuroscientists, psychologists and doctors works with the latest neuroimaging technology. We regularly publish our findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals and present them at conferences.
Our clinical projects focus on three medical areas:
Our scientists develop new MR methods and apply advanced neuroimaging to a variety of research questions. We focus mainly on:

Neuroimaging can be used for a variety of research questions. Therefore, our scientific studies cover a wide range of topics, such as imaging in stroke, trauma, tumors, migraine, aging and neuroimmunology. We also perform CT imaging and head and neck imaging and develop new methods for internal projects and for our research partners.
PD Dr. phil. Lars Michels (Head of Basic Research) coordinates the research projects at our clinic and is your contact for research collaborations.
Current projectsWe regularly work with pharmaceutical and medical technology companies for clinical studies. This allows us to test new drugs and devices. In the meantime, our team of experienced doctors and technicians supports our partners in transferring the research results from the laboratory to the patient.
We are open to new collaborations and are happy to answer your questions about an ongoing clinical trial.
