Clarification of infections in the case of an unfulfilled desire to have children

The aim of infection clarification is to treat any illnesses before pregnancy so that they affect the pregnancy as little as possible.

That is why we check with both partners:

• Liver inflammation(hepatitis B)
• Liver inflammation(hepatitis C)
• HIV
• Chlamydia infection

In women, we also check whether there is sufficient protection against varicella and rubella, as both diseases can lead to malformations in early pregnancy.

Coronavirus

Since a current corona infection can have an unfavorable effect on both the chances of pregnancy and the course of a pregnancy, we recommend vaccination before the desire to have children is realized.

There is currently no evidence of any unfavorable effects of a corona vaccination on fertility, so that according to current knowledge, the benefits of a vaccination are clearly more pronounced than any disadvantages.
