Interdisciplinary Polytrauma Course 2024

This certified polytrauma course (PTC) is an interdisciplinary course that aims to combine the knowledge of general surgeons, neurosurgeons, orthopaedic trauma surgeons, intensive care physicians and emergency physicians.
In addition, this course covers the entire management of polytraumatized patients (theory and practice).

The PTC qualifies as one of the practical courses for the Specialisation (SP) in “Specialised Traumatology”, which came into force on 01.01.2024. Information on this can be found in the SIWF / FMH regulations under ‘3.2.3 Practical courses’ . The course is also suitable for the international target group and is held in English. In the practical part, the groups are divided into German and English-speaking groups. The high number of continuing education points can be submitted to the relevant medical association in the country of the course participant.

Registration

General surgeons, neurosurgeons, orthopaedic trauma surgeons, traumatologists, intensive care physicians, emergency physicians, anaesthetists, radiologists and other interested (interdisciplinary) physicians. The course schedule for the location of the pool training, the workshops and the simulation center will be handed out on the first day of the course.
