The USZ is a leader in medical research and practice. Each year, our staff performs over 2,500 successful transplants and contributes to up to 3,100 articles in scientific publications. Since 2019, 14 startups have already received support from our own Innovation and Startup Center. At our outpatient health center alone, we treat over 1,000 patients every day.
Our 1,600 physicians from 41 countries work together across 48 medical specialties, contributing their expertise. Thanks to our strong network of leading universities and external partners, you’ll always be at the forefront of cutting-edge medical research. Our close ties to the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich enable us to develop groundbreaking treatment methods and, in many cases, to be the first—and sometimes the only—hospital in Switzerland to implement them.
