Invitation to the Wonderful World of 3D Cell Culture Systems

In this online seminar, three experts in the field will provide insights into the modern and novel chip technology, its significance in biomedicine and future perspectives.

4.00 pm - 6.00 pm

An organ- or tissue-on-a-chip is a multi-channel 3-dimensional and often microfluidic cell culture chip that simulates the activity, mechanics and physiological response of entire tissue/organ and tissue/organ systems. Such microelectromechanical systems offers the study of human physiology and pathophysiology in an organ-specific or multiorgan context.
