Treatment options and consultation hours
Patients with gynecological malignancies (including breast cancer) are treated in the gynecological oncology consultation hours run by senior physicians. Particular care is taken to ensure that treatment is always provided by the same medical officer.
All common chemotherapies (including Avastin, biphosphonates and ec administration) are carried out in day therapy. Every patient with a newly diagnosed malignancy is discussed on an interdisciplinary basis at the tumor board. The further procedure is determined on the basis of the specific case. In addition to the Clinic for Gynecology, the Institute for Clinical Pathology, the Institute for Diagnostic Radiology, the Clinic for Radio-Oncology and the Clinic for Medical Oncology are represented at the weekly tumor board. Other specialists can be consulted if necessary.
We also offer genetic counseling to women with suspected hereditary uterine or ovarian cancer.
