Dr. Naftali Kaminski is Professor of Internal Medicine and Chief of Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Kaminski’s main research interests involve applying genomic approaches to elucidate basic mechanisms and improve diagnosis and treatment of Interstitial Lung Diseases, which are chronic, often lethal and currently untreatable scarring lung diseases. His group pioneered the application of high throughput genome scale transcript profiling in advanced lung disease. Prof. Kaminski received multiple awards for his teaching, mentoring and scientific achievements including the American Thoracic Society Amberson Lecture award.
