Research at the Department of Rheumatology

Our research spans from clinical studies in the hospital setting to molecular biology in the Center of Experimental Rheumatology, where physicians closely work together with scientists of different backgrounds. This structure allows us to cover the full spectrum of medical research, from comprehensive pre-clinical studies that provide the functional portfolio for innovative therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, to clinical observational studies and phase 2/3 clinical trials.

Patient involvement in research projects

Would you be interested in actively participating in our research projects? The involvement of patients in research is very important for the research projects and brings many advantages. We aim to increase the integration of patients’ needs and perspectives into our research projects. Patients and / or those affected should become our research partners.
